Project Overview.

The operations manager reached out to Brightvue to discuss the need to replace their paper based team management with an application. Their current solution for risk management and health and safety on site was a large folder filled with paper. If one of these folders was lost then it would take over two hours to create a replica.

Requirements.

To build a custom application that was accessible on the tablets of each team. Documents had to be converted in to digital forms that could be signed off at specific times by team members and clients. The application needed to be responsive, fast and able to sync data with the office when connected to the internet or when the device reconnected. A log was needed to track who had done what and when as well as a time sheet that team members could use to track their time on site.

Result.

Hardisty was already setup and using SharePoint for managing internal processes so it made sense to utilise this for the application. We converted all word documents to a digital form, such as the toolbox talk or van inspection. These forms had a signature feature and conditional logic depending on what information had been added. We made sure there was a check made daily to see if forms had been submitted and if not a notification would be sent to the teams manager to help ensure all documents were being submitted.
